Offered Services

I will work with you to determine which services best fit your family’s needs right now. Engagement in therapy — especially with teenagers — can ebb and flow. I understand that uncertainty is part of the process and are prepared to adapt. I am flexible, responsive, and willing to think creatively to help your family move toward its goals.

Services are currently offered online, with in-person sessions coming soon.

As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), sessions are eligible for reimbursement through most insurance providers that cover RSW services. If you have questions about coverage, fees, or budget considerations, please reach out. I’m happy to help you problem-solve options or connect you with alternative supports if needed.

  • Family counselling provides a structured, supportive space for families to slow down, understand one another more deeply, and shift patterns that keep everyone stuck. Rather than focusing on one “identified patient,” we look at the system as a whole—how each person’s emotions, needs, and behaviors interact and influence the family dynamic.

Grounded in attachment-based, emotion-focused and DBT-informed approaches, sessions help families build stronger communication, increase validation, and reduce cycles of escalation. We work on strengthening emotional safety while also developing concrete skills for navigating conflict, setting boundaries, and repairing ruptures.

Family counselling is especially helpful when emotions run high, misunderstandings are frequent, or a child or teen is struggling and the whole family feels the impact. The goal is not perfection—it’s creating a home environment where everyone feels heard, respected, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges together.

    starting at $200/hour

  • Parent counselling offers practical, evidence-based support to help caregivers respond effectively to their child’s emotional and behavioral challenges. Grounded in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), this work strengthens parents’ confidence and capacity to regulate their own emotions, validate their child’s experience, and respond with both warmth and structure.

Through EFFT, parents learn how to deepen emotional connection, address blocks that get in the way of effective caregiving, and repair relational ruptures. DBT-informed strategies provide concrete tools for managing high-conflict moments, setting clear boundaries, and coaching children in skills like distress tolerance and emotion regulation.

The goal is not to “fix” your child, but to empower you as the most important agent of change in their life—helping your family move toward greater stability, resilience, and connection.

    starting at $150/hr

  • Teen counselling (ages 13–19) is a space where you don’t have to pretend you’re fine, impress anyone, or translate your feelings into “therapy language.” You get to show up exactly as you are—angry, overwhelmed, numb, sarcastic, confused, or all of the above.

Using DBT-informed strategies and emotion-focused work, we’ll figure out what’s actually going on underneath the stress, friend drama, school pressure, family conflict, identity questions, or mental health symptoms. You’ll learn practical skills to handle big emotions without blowing up your life (or your group chat), communicate what you need more effectively, and build a stronger sense of who you are.

This isn’t about turning you into a different person. It’s about helping you understand your brain, trust your emotions, and feel more in control of your choices—so you can survive high school (and your family) with your integrity intact.

    starting at $160/hr
